Easter Morning Ideas For Kids.

Easter is all about kids. Little kids.

Some of my happiest mothering memories are from Easter mornings spent hunting for chocolate with my daughters. I put so much effort into making these mornings magical for them and for me.

Now my girls are older, I’m lucky to have lots of little nieces and nephews – and luckier still that their parents indulge my love for making all festive moments magical.

The Healthy Egg.

Before the wave of chocolate begins try this super cute fried egg idea to fill young tummies with some goodness. It’s imple as two strips of bacon, 3 chives (chopped in half) for the whiskers, two blueberries for the eyes and one egg fried sunny side up.

Maple Bacon & Cheese (Hot Cross) Toastie.

Not all Hot Cross Buns are created equal. I came up with this savoury breakfast toastie recipe when I discovered the Woolworths Mocha Hot Cross Bun – a delish combination of coffee and chocolate chip in fluffy, light bun. This is not just reserved for Easter morning but a great way to re-purpose your hot cross buns over the weeks to follow. Make it like this: Grill two rashes of D’orsogna Maple Glazed Streaky Bacon from Woolworths until crisp. Cut Woolworths Mocha Hot Cross Bun in half and light toast. Remove top half and set aside. Add bacon to the bottom side of the bun and sprinkle generously with Woolworths Australian Mozarella Shredded Cheese and grill until melted. Place the top half of the bun on top of the filling and prepare to have your mind blown. You’re welcome.
